EIGHT DIAGRAM DRAGON PALM

Harold: The Hand put me in a box and brought me back to life.
Danny: the hand suck donkey ass
Harold: I agree Let’s team up to fight them
Ward: I am against this because my name is ward and people with the name ward are universally mistrusted in the Marvel Universe because Marvel thinks it’s clever to subvert the name “ward” and make us all jackasses.
Grant Ward: I’m not in this and I know people hate me, but you should listen to him because we Wards are universally shit on so trusting Harold Meachum is a bad idea.
Danny: Yay I found a place to belong!

And onto the important stuff.

10:16-11:26 Colleen is freakin’ awesome, actual warrior lives by a code 10-10

23:00-24:10 - Colleen kicking ass and taking names.

28:35-31:45 - Colleen Wing nice long fight sequence.

39:48-41:16 - Colleen Wing tries to warn Danny off Triads and DANNY STILL DOESN’T TAKE HIS DAMN SHOES OFF.

44:22-46:32- Danny STILL HAS HIS SHOES ON OH MY GOD I’M GOING TO RIP THEM OFF HIS FEET AND THROW THEM INTO THE CORNER but hey colleen is teaching Joy a bit

That’s literally it I’m so sad. More forthcoming.

BUT WHAT IF...it was aliens.

[It's supposed to be an easy mission. Escort company cargo to Whedon station. The company pays well, this is routine. Under commander Garrett, they've co-opted (rented, as Ward is fond of saying) Captain Melinda May's ship. There's Jemma and Fitz, a pair of techs, Coulson, a science officer, Palamas, Piper, Wong, and Reaper - something that Grant gives him no end of shit for. Besides, they're going to be in hypersleep for a good month at least - possibly two, so while he salutes Skye - May's co-pilot and wonders what it would be like to share a tube with her, his mind is half on that and half on the crate that commander Garrett says is "essential" to survival. The back half of the trip'll end up being surprisingly boring. Sign in and out.

Ours is not to wonder why kid. Ours is but to do or fucking die. Just like your dad would want huh?

He'd never tell Garrett he considers him far more of a father then James Ward - board of directors member and personal friend of Weyland's ...lineage - but it looks good for HYDRA company having a son of the board of directors onboard. Thankfully the old man keeps it to himself. Palamas gives him a sympathetic look though as the ship shuts itself down, auto piloting out to the stars...

When he wakes up it's like no time has passed but something is clearly off. The place is quiet a few tubes are empty, and while he's puking his guts out and unaware of any of the other active pods there's no chance or opportunity to look up and see anything or anyone quite yet. He's just curled over trying to come back to his senses - senses that haven't alerted him to the lack of Garrett - overseeing his hypersleep as always - or Palamas and Piper playfully flirting.]

simple mission they said. go home on leave they said...

ARBYS MEME

Soon there will be a picture here.

PSL - The wolf and the lionness.

[So okay, maybe he didn't mean to fall back into her life. When you're a rehabilitated (or rehabilitating, as she pointed out more then once) vampire trying to retain some sort of normal life it's hard to find things that make sense. The two things that do are Sookie Stackhouse - McDonald (I changed it back! she'd shout.) and his son.

That keeps him human on the bad days. Keeps him to TruBlood and Pig's blood when he can stomach it. It keeps him working legal cases from home and not answering every time Wolfram and Hart calls. They do call. He isn't fired (you can't be fired Mr. McDonald. Ever.) He's on sabbatical, indefinite sabbatical - but he's not thinking about that tonight.

Mostly because tonight he woke up not as hungry as he normally was, not as painfully aware of the heartbeats in his house. Jason was gone, the baby wasn't some sort of tender little morsel he wanted to eat. He stirred as the sun fell below the horizon and felt almost like a man. He's dedicated time to making amends to his baby and the woman he loves (It's real love, even when the fog of Darla clouds for a heartbeat he knows he loved her) Which is probably why he appears at the kitchen table where she's playing with the baby. He's showered, at least. There's no fresh grave smell and he's...not aiming to spook her for once. No sarcastic remarks.]

I could watch the two of you forever.

[Just pure charm. His nostrils flare. So they're not...entirely alone. Shame but probably for the best. There have been...bad nights.]

It's cute as hell.

PSL

[Hive sleeps.

It's not really sleep, perhaps it's a state of hibernation. A state of living dead. He exists on earth again, he's home, he can taste it in his bones and he's been away for millennia, for centuries. It's this body, this body is frail, this body is - well dead - and he's inclined to keep it. Grant ward was strong, his muscles were skilled for a human, he was talented ,articulate, intelligent - perhaps overly so. If only he had been blessed enough to be an inhuman.

Yes. He can think that. It's not a compliment he gives often and perhaps that - that lull is what allows Grant Ward to swim to the surface. The being so hollow, resting on the laurels of victory, of being returned. Except he'd ended up somehow - thanks to fate - in his brother's hands. What did that mean? What good did it serve for HYDRA?

He would have asked those questions once.

Instead, wrapped in the blanket that his brother had thrown around his corpse, Grant Ward realizes he doesn't care. He doesn't care about HYDRA or SHIELD or Skye or anyone else right now he has to get his brother out. He has to take him away. Get him somewhere safe before Hive kills him too.

It's so hard admitting that. He wants him safe and happy and far away. With a girl, and for one disturbing moment Grant Ward can see the girl in Tommy's mind that his little brother wants. It's intoxicating, but Hive - Hive is still asleep.

This has to be done and fast.

It takes far longer then it should however and Grant Ward is aware. Aware of the smell. Aware of the horror. Aware of the pain in his chest, the crushing pain that makes him think of Coulson but oh if he can get Tommy away. If he can get Tommy away - I could give myself to him. to the Hive. Fully. Be embraced fully.

It was tempting.

So tempting he nearly collapsed in a pile of bones and rotted meat before shoving open Thomas Ward's door.

This has to be convincing. The thought of what he might do to his brother horrified him, cold unclenching cruel horror.

He pushed in the door.]

Tommy.

[His voice is a desperate anxious rasp. For the past month he'd been living on his couch eating all his raw meat growing fat, indulgent, lazy - or at least as much as a walking corpse could but this -

Fuck this would end it. For my brother]

Tommy it's me. It's Grant.

Tommy please wake up.
