There’s a lot of the Meachums arguing and Papa Meachum is pretty much Donald Trump on acid with lots of weird Papa Meachum gaslighting Ward and telling him he cares while beating him up.

Warning: Danny is - majorly assholish to colleen but she calls him on his shit tells him he smells and while he tries to pull out major shit on her he ends up paying her rent and she looks really awesome.

19:23-19:58 Great scenes of Colleen wing being a pillar of the community and mentoring her students. “You dishonor yourself even when you fight for money.” GREAT Line. She’s an awesome warrior.

At 21:53 if you’re a big fan of JERI HOGARTH she’s FINALLY introduced. However there is also Danny. EEEW. DANNY. She does also tell him to clean up his act and stop dressing like a cochella reject tho and agrees to help him. Yay Jeri!

29:04-30:04 Colleen Wing WATCHES DANNY FUCKING RAND WEAR SHOES IN HER DOJO EVEN I KNOW THAT’S DISRESPECTFUL AF. and after beating up on a kid yes he does that she kicks him out of her dojo good for her.

From there there’s a lot of really terrible shots of how sad Danny is that he’s an outsider. This I get, believe me it’s fuckin’ hard to be sad and lonely and not feel like you belong but that doesn’t excuse being a douche canoe.

Hardest lesson to learn is how to be a part of a community.

Then the Meachums come in and plot more evil specifically in regards to getting more folks to join their company (is this like...Wall Street but with superheroes? Why did anyone think that was a good idea?)
